Car Rides and Instagram

I've been in the car TWO TIMES in the past two days!! Yesterday I got to go to a meet-and-greet and hang out with 5 other greyhounds! Today, we went to the park to meet another GEGR friend, Petey. We don't have pictures of him, but here I am in the car on the way home!

Also, my foster mom says she's sorry about this picture- she's not supposed to let me on the couch, but I saw my foster sister up there and had to see what a couch is about!
I love all kinds of soft things, but my favorite spot to snuggle is still the blankets in my crate.

I'm pretty excited to go to an adoption event this weekend! I hope I meet my forever family there. You can follow me on Instagram if you want to see some pictures of my daily life! You'll find me @allisfosterfriends or by using #fosterFreedom. Hope you like my pictures!

Meetin' and Greetin'

We've already established how much I love to go in the car, but here's a gratuitous photo of me having the BEST time traveling to my first ever meet and greet:
Meet and greets are fun because so many people come over to us to ask about greyhounds! We were at the Towson Petsmart, where the GEGR people told me they always go on the last Sunday of every month, February through November. I made a few greyhound friends, and I got to meet so many people!

I even met a little boy who said he was a foster before too, until his forever mommy found him! He said he hopes I get to meet my forever mommy soon.

I've been spending a lot of time outside lately since the weather was nice, running around and around. Eventually I have to take a nap, though. All that running makes me hungry, and it doesn't help when I can smell my foster family cooking something delicious.
I've learned that I'm not supposed to put my nose on the counter, so I keep a low profile but still stay on high alert to catch any food if it falls towards the floor.

Another thing I'm not supposed to do is get on the bed, but my foster mom dumped a pile of clean laundry on the bed and then turned her back for 10 seconds. I just couldn't resist burrowing into a warm pile of clothes!

Learning to Fetch

You GUYS!! Did you know that there's a toy called a ball?? When I bring it over to the deck, someone throws it for me and I get to chase it! And they will keep doing it, as many times as I bring it back!
It's called fetch! I love fetch, and every other reason to be outside. Sometimes my foster mom says she thinks I drink a lot of water just so I can ask to go outside more. I'm just trying to stay hydrated!

A week in my retired life!

Guys, LOOK! I caught a duck!!
Alright, I guess I didn't really catch it. I stepped on it and it squeaked at me, so I had to chew on it. My foster sister says she doesn't like the squeakers, so I got them out for her. Now I can play next to her while she's sleeping. I love being next to her, especially outside!

Did I mention I love outside??

I also love inside, especially when my foster parents do what they call "alone training." It gives me some peace and quiet to put my feet up!

Good thing we had alone training, I learned how good this bed is! My foster mom says I'm goofy. I'm just trying to get comfortable!

Also, guess where else I'm comfortable? The car!!! But I guess I already told you that. This time in the car, I got to be with my foster sister. We like to look out all the windows together!

This time, we got to go to BARCStoberfest! I met so many dogs. There were German Shepherd dogs:

Little dogs:
...and even a Greyhound friend!!
What a big day. I was so exhausted when I got home! And, another night, I heard a familiar noise: thunder. I got up to make sure it was only in the sky and wasn't going to hurt my foster family. They told me how good of a dog I am and gave me some ear scratches, and I laid back down. Sometimes I'm just too tired to keep standing up. Like last night, I was in the kitchen begging for apples, even though I don't like them. I was too tired to stand up and beg, plus I got flour on my head when my foster mom pushed my nose off of the counter, so I figured I should just lay down and hope she dropped some apples. She didn't :(
I guess that's all for now! Until next time!

Hi, I'm Freedom!

...but you can call me Free! I had a big day yesterday with a lot of traveling from the track to my new foster home. Fortunately, I love the car and have no trouble jumping in and out of a Jeep!
That's me! I was excited to sniff out the window, so I couldn't hold still...
Eventually, I got pretty tired from my big day, so I just napped for the last hour of my ride.
When we got home, I got to run in the yard, which I LOVE. My foster sister likes to run, too. She showed me where we go potty in the yard. She also showed me where our downstairs beds are, but she's kind of a bed hog.
I also met a cat! I thought he might be another friend like my foster sister, but he hissed at me and whacked my nose, so now I hide from him. I had to sniff everything in the house- exhausting! Good thing I finally got my foster sister to share with me!

I like to go on walks with her, too. Here's hoping my second day gets to be as fun as my first!
